October 12, 2007 - On Friday, Montrose played Cambridge School Weston away. It was soaking wet, the field was covered in puddles, but the game went on. Montrose had previously lost to CSW 2-1 in their second game. During the previous game, Casey Irwin '10 and Abby Milton '08 got injured. The girls were determined to win this game. And win they did, 4-0. They came out really strong and took control of the game right away. The girls were tenacious and aggressive. Co-captain Abby Milton scored the first goal and the other co-captain Kerry Burns '08 scored the second goal off an assist from Alice Pottackal '11. Abby scored the third goal off an assist from Kerry Burns. Jenn Robbins '08 scored the fourth goal off an assist from Abby. Everybody played really well. Cathy Childs '09, center back in defense, had an awesome game and did a great job holding off the other team. Goalie Katie Robinson '08 had a few great saves. The team as a whole played really well and have really gelled as a team.
