December
19, 2006 We have been living an historic Advent at Montrose School. We’ve celebrated the season with our traditional tree trimming, service outreach, Christmas concert and, of course, our all school Christmas Mass and skits assembly. In addition to these long standing traditions, this year, 132 students joined forces in true Montrose spirit to pack up the entire school—and what a wonderful amount of work they accomplished! This week we still have Montrose elves helping us including the MOMS who have packed up important corners of the school. We are part of an amazingly united and generous family here at Montrose. The transition ahead promises to be an exciting and memorable one, and we continue to rely on your flexibility, good humor and prayers to make it as smooth as possible. As we prepare for the move, all of us at Montrose are counting our blessings. We have enjoyed twelve wonderful years in Natick. After twenty-seven years and over three hundred Montrose graduates, we have fulfilled the dream of our founders: to establish a permanent home campus where the school could grow and flourish. We are privileged to be the stewards of a new campus, one that we will develop over time into a premiere institution. We are grateful to the countless individuals who have prepared the way—previous heads of school, board members, families, alumnae, friends, former faculty and staff. Throughout our history we have always been especially fortunate to have a chapel with the Blessed Sacrament presiding. We look forward to seeing you at our first Mass in Medfield on January 23, 2007, when once again, Our Lord will become present and remain with us right in the heart of our new school. Anticipating the miracle of Christmas that awaits us, we feel especially close to the Holy Family this year. They are expectant and hope-filled, as are we. Merry Christmas! |
