Please click on the Request Information tab and provide contact information for your family and the applicant.

Submit all application materials by February 1st. This includes:

• Application along with the $50 application fee.
• Transcript release form: Parents must complete the top portion of the form before submitting it along with the Principal Recommendation to the applicant’s current school principal.
• English and math recommendation forms should be given to persons currently teaching the applicant or who have had the most recent association with the applicant in a school environment in these subjects.
• Non-academic recommendation form should be completed by a person closely associated with the applicant outside of her school environment (ex. coach, family friend, or tutor)

After a prospective student and her family have successfully completed the application process the Admissions Office carefully reviews each candidate. We do everything we can to gain a complete and fully dimensional understanding of your daughter as a student and a person. Every piece of the application is considered valuable and important, no one test score, grade, or comment is weighted more heavily than any other.

• Applicants are granted admission without consideration for the request for financial assistance.
• Montrose School provides financial assistance in the form of tuition and merit scholarships.
• Applications for financial assistance are available upon request; notification of assistance is sent following a candidate’s acceptance.

 

We know that even after you have completed the application and visited Montrose you may still have questions, concerns, or your daughter may feel unsure. Contact the Admissions Office at any time. We may be able to help you by:

 

• Inviting you or your daughter to come for another visit, take another tour, or sit-in on another interview or class
• Pairing you up with a current parent or your daughter up with a current student who can answer your questions candidly or who came to Montrose from a similar town, school, or circumstance.
• Inviting you to an upcoming school event of interest to you and your daughter such as our Upper School Curriculum Night (for prospective 9-12th graders,) a school play, a special lecture or talk in our Parent Enrichment or Life Portrait Speaker Series

The Admissions Office contacts all applicants at the beginning of March.

 

We invite all accepted students and their families to celebrate this great accomplishment at a dinner in their honor. Accepted Students Night is an opportunity for prospective students and their families to come together to meet one another, and take yet another look at Montrose School.
