September 2005 Dear Parents, Welcome to the 2005-2006 academic year. While the work before us at Montrose this year includes building renovations and plans for our move to Medfield, MA, we remain focused on our primary commitment—teaching and learning. Educating women of faith, character, and vision is no small task. We know how important it is to partner with you in your daughter’s education. We also know how crucial it is to attract outstanding faculty. Their intellectual energy and enthusiasm bring our curriculum to life each day. Their example and dedication make them important role models in your daughters’ lives. (For a list of our new faculty and staff click here). As we begin this new school year, our hearts and prayers go out to those victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Montrose Family will be joining forces to support the relief efforts in the South with their prayerful solidarity, their fundraising, their personal sacrifices, and their academic work well done and dedicated to those most in need. We dedicate the work of this upcoming academic year to all those who have suffered from the enormous devastation along the Gulf Coast. Warm regards, Irene Flowers Eide, History and Asst. Dean of Studies, earned her BA from Middlebury College in Classics and Political Science with a minor in Italian language and literature. She is completing her MA at Boston College.
