Giving FAQs

List of 4 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund advances the mission of the school by seeking philanthropic support from all constituents who value the quality of a Montrose education. Each year, these individuals, foundations and corporations are asked to make an annual investment in the form of a charitable gift that supports a variety of strategic needs facing the school: technology enhancements, student and faculty programs, and academic programs, to name only a few. In short, it helps to sustain programs and services that are NOT covered by tuition. The Annual Fund forms the basis of our comprehensive development effort and provides an opportunity for all to make a valued investment in the future of Montrose.
  • Q. Why is it important to support the Annual Fund?

Participation signifies your belief in the value of a Montrose education for every student. Every gift makes a difference. In the recent past, high internal participation - 93% of current families and 100% of faculty, staff and board members - helped us to surpass our goal and inspire generous gifts from outside benefactors.
  • Q. Does the Annual Fund pay for extras?

The Annual Fund does not pay for extras. It provides direct funding to the operating budget of the school for student and faculty programs not covered by tuition.
  • Q. How much should I give?

Annual Fund gifts range from $100 to more than $50,000. Families are asked to consider a gift according to their means. All gifts to the Annual Fund are important and greatly appreciated, as they support the value of a Montrose education and help to advance the mission of the school.
