Affording Montrose

At Montrose School, we seek families who are invested in our mission to educate young women leaders who are called to greatness, regardless of their ability to pay tuition. The Montrose School Board of Trustees reviews tuition costs annually.

Tuition Assistance

Through the generosity of the parents, alumnae and friends of Montrose School, a tuition assistance program has been established to help families pay for a Montrose education. Montrose School is committed to helping families who may not be able to afford the total cost of tuition. If you believe you are in need of assistance, we encourage you to apply for it.

The tuition assistance application must be completed online. To complete online, visit the FAST website after November 15.

Tuition assistance applications are due February 15, 2019 for new students (January 15, 2019 for returning students).

Scholarships

Montrose is supported by two national foundations, whose leaders believe deeply in our mission of educating young women of greatness of mind, heart and character. Your daughter may qualify for a merit-based named scholarship, supported by these foundations.

The Admissions Committee will consider every applicant for the available scholarships. There is no separate scholarship application. The number of qualified applicants determines how many scholarships are awarded each year.

  • The DeTore Scholarship, named in honor of founding headmistress Elizabeth DeTore, provides renewable merit scholarships for girls entering middle school who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement, strong character and capacity for leadership.
  • The Trustee Scholarship provides renewable merit scholarships for girls entering 9th grade who have a strong academic record, possess personal integrity and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.

2018-2019 Tuition

Tuition for the 2018-2019 school year is $28,346.

For tuition for international students, contact the Admissions Office.

A $5,000 deposit is due upon acceptance for international students. Tuition must be paid in full by August 1.
