This presentation for middle and upper school students and parents invites us to rethink how we look at the important topic of addiction. As a school that recognizes the importance of parents as their children’s first and most important educators, we chose to host this event in the evening so parents can attend with their daughters.

Chris Herren was a basketball star in his native Fall River, MA who went on to play in college, the NBA and overseas before losing it all to the disease of addiction. He has been sober since 2008, and he now shares his story with the goal of making a positive difference in the lives of others. Other area schools who have hosted Chris to address their students have raved about his powerful presentation and the positive impact on their students.

We’re offering this presentation as a resource for Montrose families as well as other area high school students and their parents. Our student-led SADD Club is leading the way, reaching out to SADD clubs at other high schools. Our aim is that it will spark some wonderful parent-student conversations. Register here and feel free to invite a friend or neighbor.
