Teaching Intern - 2023-2024 school year

Montrose School invites applications for teaching internships in all disciplines for the 2023-2024 school year. Interns develop as teachers with coaching from the Associate Head of School, Upper School Director and/or Middle School Director, and participate in the life of the school as teachers of one to two academic class sections, and as mentors and coaches. Specific responsibilities will be aligned with the intern's particular academic interest, and interns will be mentored by a veteran in their field. Successful candidates will be committed to learning about best-practice secondary school teaching within a professional community and may have the opportunity to combine the teaching internship with participation in the operation of a growing school in admissions, development or other administrative office. Outstanding recent college graduates will be considered for this internship for which a stipend is paid in addition to the hands-on learning experience offered; the possibility of full-time employment may be available after completion of the internship.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter, resume and 3 references to the Director of Human Resources (at the address or email below), who will schedule an interview and visit with qualified applicants.
