A special day for special guests

Montrose hosts grandparents and special friends for a memorable visit.
More than one hundred visitors flowed into Founders' Hall to join their granddaughters for a special day.

The day began with Mass in the chapel. The date marked the sixtieth anniversary of ordination of Reverend Richard Rieman, chaplain emeritus. A bouquet of white roses beneath the altar represented a spiritual bouquet - a collection of prayers, Mass intentions and sacrifices - offered by Montrose students in honor of Fr. Dick's anniversary of ordination.

After Mass, students and guests enjoyed break together. Grandparents then accompanied their granddaughters to class, participating in classroom activities and even playing soccer during PE class.

The visitors and the students enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Arts & Athletics Center. Director of Institutional Advancement Jennifer Schiller welcomed the special guests and reminded them of their importance in their granddaughters' lives.
