Freshman to Compete at National Level
Spandana Vagwala '22 qualifies for National History Day in College Park, MD after placing in the top two at the state level.
Spandana won honors for her research paper on the 1947 partition of India, and will advance to the national competition in June.
Kaleigh Robinson '22 and Alanna Hyatt '22 won honorable mention at the state level for their website on the Spanish flu epidemic, placing them in the top four in the state.
Spandana, Kaleigh and Alanna were among 9 Montrose students who qualified to compete in the state level National History Day competition after their outstanding performances at the regional level.
