Seniors Celebrate College Acceptances

The Montrose Class of 2020 welcomes good news from their top choice colleges and universities across the country.
Last week, Montrose students from every grade were abuzz as Student Government led the first ever virtual Spirit Week. Adding to the excitement, the 21 seniors were celebrating acceptances to colleges and universities, including many of the nation's top schools.

"I am thrilled to report that our Montrose seniors did beautifully this year," said Mary Foley, Director of College Guidance. "They have all found wonderful potential homes among their top choices.  Schools like Harvard, University of Southern California, University of Toronto, RISD, Berklee College of Music, University of Virginia, McGill, William & Mary, Washington University of St. Louis, Dickinson, Boston College, and College of the Holy Cross are just a few of the colleges where our seniors may be matriculating next year -- whatever that may mean in the current landscape."

The College Guidance Department at Montrose is keeping its juniors and seniors up to date about the constantly changing college terrain by sharing resources on a daily basis and being available for Zoom meetings and virtual office hours.

"Every aspect of a Montrose education fosters academic excellence coupled with greatness of mind, heart and character," said Head of School Karen E. Bohlin. "We are confident that our seniors will thrive in the colleges they choose to attend. We are proud of their hard work and achievements on every front."
