4 girls win national merit honors

National recognition! Two Montrose seniors were honored as National Merit Semifinalists, out of only 300 students in the entire state of Massachusetts. Congratulations to this year's Semifinalists: Aneesa M. and Genevieve N., who both scored in the top 1% nationwide on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) during their junior year.
In addition, two more seniors were honored as National Merit Commended Scholars, after scoring among the top 2.5% in the U.S. on the qualifying test. Congratulations to Elisabeth H. and Avery C., our Commended students.
The four students were recognized as being among the top achievers on the PSAT/NMSQT, out of 1.3 million high school juniors nationwide who took the test.
