Great Performances

Montrose students are engaged in the development of talents born, made and discovered, as they are called to greatness.

Participation in the arts helps students grow in confidence. This confidence carries over into other areas of their lives, enabling them to approach new challenges with determination and the knowledge that they are equal to the task ahead.

I always dreamed of acting but was too frightened to try until my mentor in 7th grade encouraged me. Since then, I've been in 7 Montrose productions, founded the Film Club, and started the production of a limited TV series which is scheduled to be on Amazon Prime.

I thank every Montrose teacher who ever urged me to dig deeper in a text, to clarify my thinking, and to empathize with other people. When your environment leads you to understand people, there's no limit to what you can uncover in a monologue, a scene or the richest verse of Shakespeare.
