Unfortunately, these whirlwind trips are only remembered in photographs of edifices students can neither name nor appreciate.

  • In the Footsteps of Dante

    In the Footsteps of Dante is a study abroad experience in Italy offered to juniors and seniors every other year. An integrated seminar and tour, it gives students a chance to view, study and contemplate great works of renaissance art and architecture.  The tour explores the following:

    • an historical overview of Medieval and Renaissance Florence
    • changing political situation in Florence during Dante's life
    • an introduction to Divine Comedy
    • the art of Florence and area sites including San Gimignano, Siena and Rome
  • Ancient, Medieval & Renaissance Ireland

    Ancient, Medieval & Renaissance Ireland is a study abroad experience in Ireland offered to 8th and 9th grade students every other year. It is designed as the capstone of the Montrose middle school history curriculum: 6th grade World Geography; 7th grade Ancient Civilizations and 8th grade Medieval and Renaissance History.

    • See some of the most stunning geography on earth including the Cliffs of Moher, Inishmor, and Connemara
    • Explore sites of ancient civilizations at Dun Aengus, Newgrange, and the Hill of Tara
    • Visit medieval sites such as Bunratty Castle and the monastic site Glendalough.
