    Montrose is located in the heart of downtown Medfield, 17 miles from Boston
  • Daily Schedule

    As we welcome all students to campus during the pandemic, we have adjusted school meeting times.

    Currently, school hours are from 7:45 AM - 3:05 AM for middle school students, and from 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM for upper school students, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Wednesdays focus on deep work. The daily schedule includes time for academic classes, electives, dedicated Student Life time and Enrichment.

    In the past, school hours have been from 7:55 AM - 3:15 PM, except on Wednesdays when school hours were from 8:55 AM - 3:15 PM.

    Class of 2020: 21 students, including 1 National Merit Commended Student.

    Class of 2019: 35 students, including 2 National Merit Commended Students.

    Class of 2018: 41 students, including 1 National Merit Scholarship winner, 1 National Merit Finalist, 3 National Merit Commended Students and 2 National Hispanic Scholars.

  • Advanced Placement Classes

    Montrose offers 17 AP classes: Biology, Physics 1, Physics C, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Computer Science A, Principles of Computer Science, English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, European History, U.S. History, U.S. Government, French Language and Culture, Spanish Language and Culture, Latin, Studio Art
  • Class Sizes

    The average class size is 15 in middle school and 14 in upper school. The school average class size is 14.
  • Signature Programs

    Innovative signature programs that go beyond AP, including the senior Capstone interdisciplinary research thesis and presentation, college level philosophy, accelerated math offerings, study abroad and a nationally recognized character and leadership program 
  • Athletics

    Montrose offers varsity or JV teams in soccer (varsity and JV), field hockey (varsity and JV), cross country (varsity and JV), volleyball, basketball (varsity, JV and middle school), lacrosse (varsity and JV), softball, and track and field (varsity and JV). In addition, Montrose offers a Ski Club and Indoor Track & Field Club.

    Montrose partners with Campus Catering, a company that works with local restaurant Papa Gino's, to provide fresh, nutritious lunches.

    18 classrooms, multiple science and innovation labs, 2 art rooms, playing field and practice field, fitness center, 10,000 square foot Arts & Athletics Center with professional performance space and basketball court
