Time-honored Events
We're pround of our beloved traditions, many of which date back to the school's earliest days. These treasured events and meaningful rituals are part of what make our school a place where every girl grows in greatness of mind, heart and character. From the first day of school handshake line to the personal tributes given to each senior at Commencement, these cherished customs unite, inspire, and remind our students of the values that guide their journey, calling them to greatness.
First Day of School Handshake Line |
Each new student and teacher is welcomed with a handshake or fist bump by every student, faculty and staff member at Montrose. |
Homecoming |
Every fall, the entire Montrose community — including alumnae, parents, faculty, staff, and students — gathers for festivities, food, fellowship and fun. |
Red & White Teams |
When you enroll at Montrose, you'll be assigned to one of two teams, red or white. Girls earn points for their team in challenges all year long. |
Big/Little Sisters |
Upper school students are paired with middle school girls for mentorship and friendship. They participate in activities like the annual cookie decorating contest. |
Halloween |
