The Application Process, Step by Step

Please contact the Admission Office with questions at any point during the application process. We are happy to help you in any way we can!

Step 1: Create a Ravenna Account

To start the application process, please complete and submit our online inquiry form.

This will direct you to create an account with Ravenna, a web-based application which students can use to submit online inquiries and applications. Please be sure to enter an email address for an account that you check frequently, as you will receive multiple important communications via email. After you set up your account, you can create your daughter's profile and then choose "Montrose School" from the school directory.

Step 2: Schedule an interview and tour

You can schedule these through Ravenna or by contacting the Admission Office.

  • Tour: Our student tour guides will show you around campus.
  • Interview: Both you and your daughter will meet with an admission representative. Students will also complete a short writing sample as part of their interview.
We look forward to meeting you!
Step 3: Register for an entrance exam

ISEE: Girls entering grades 6-8 should take the ISEE.

(For girls who are also applying to Boston Exam Schools, we will accept the NWEA MAP Growth test.)

You may take either the paper version or the at-home (online) version of the ISEE. For your convenience, we will be offering the ISEE test at Montrose on the following Saturdays:

  • November 2, 2024
  • December 7, 2024
  • January 25, 2025

Click here for the ISEE website. Please designate Montrose as a recipient of the official score. Montrose’s school code is 220454. SSAT: Girls entering grades 9-12 should take the SSAT. Alternatively, applicants to Grade 9 may alternatively submit the Catholic High School Placement Test (HSPT). For applicants to Grades 10 and 11, PSAT, ACT, and/or SAT scores will fulfill the testing requirement.  You may take either the paper version or the at-home (online) version of the SSAT. For your convenience, we will be offering the SSAT test at Montrose on the following Saturday:

  • January 4, 2025

Click here for the SSAT website. Please designate Montrose as a recipient of the official score. Montrose’s school code is 5150.
