Develop Your Vision

Vice principal of student life, Cristo Rey High School, Boston, MA
Betsy Bowman '95 is vice principal of student life at Cristo Rey High School in Boston, MA. In the years after college, she volunteered in schools and orphanages in Honduras and Guatemala while studying Spanish. She spent 2009-2010 in Haiti, volunteering as a Spanish teacher at the Louverture Cleary School outside Port au Prince. Five months after her arrival, the earthquake shattered Port au Prince. Ms. Bowman could have returned home, but chose to remain to help her students and families rebuild.

Ms. Bowman graduated from the University of Notre Dame and holds a master's degree in education from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.

In her remarks, she challenged every student to use her time at Montrose to become the best version of herself and to develop a vision for the future that will serve the greater good.
