Eastern Senior District Festival Chorus

Hilary Cullen Budwey '09, Isabella Daher '10, and Jennifer Kessler '11 auditioned on Saturday, November 22nd for the Eastern Senior District Festival Chorus.  All three singers were accepted into the chorus and earned scores high enough to receive recommendations to audition for the All-State Chorus in late January.  The Eastern District consists of over thirty cities and towns, including dozens of public and private high schools.  It is one of five districts state-wide designated by the Massachusetts Music Educators Association, which sponsors various competitive and educational musical activities for some of the most talented young musicians in the state.  Choral director Mrs. Karen Demirjian encouraged Hilary, Isabella, and Jenn to audition and accompanied them to the event.

The Eastern Senior District Festival Chorus, featuring an honors orchestra, band, chorus, and jazz ensemble, will take place on January 9th and 10th, 2009.  The program will consist of two days of intensive rehearsals, culminating in a festival concert (which is open to the public) on Saturday, January 10th at Boston University.
