On Friday, March 14, Montrose students welcomed 12 talented working professionals to participate in Career Day. Career Day is a unique tradition designed to broaden students’ perspectives about the variety and diversity of career possibilities. Participants in this year’s Career Day included Mark Ockerbloom, News Anchor from Fox 25 Evening News (pictured); Rich Gotham, Team President of the Celtics; Dr. Jessica Young, Veterinarian; Michelle Walsh Domey ’91, small travel business owner and founder; Melissa Kates, owner and founder of DinnerTrends; Myev Bodenhofer, electrical engineer; Tara McSherry ’02, production assistant and film developer; Marcia Dolgin, photographer and print maker; Dan Kelly (Elizabeth ’09), attorney and actor; Brenda Fitzgerald (Maggie ‘14 and Kaitlin ’10), physical therapist; LeeAnn Honey (pictured), baker and owner of Honey’s Café & Bakery;and Sheila Cavanaugh (pictured), our keynote speaker, Senior Vice President for Internal Communications at Fidelity. Sheila Cavanaugh kicked off the morning with an inspiring keynote address to the student body. She encouraged Montrosians to discover their talents and pursue them with tenacity.
