LAPD Honors Student Service

Two LAPD officers flew to Boston to honor Kendra Baker ’26 and Natalia Petruzziello ’26  for their outstanding volunteer work for Watts 2 Boston and the LA Fire Fund.
The student-led initiative raised funds for a disadvantaged community affected by the Los Angeles wildfires. Captain Michael Lorenz and Officer Erick Ortiz from the LAPD and Jennifer Alvarado of Watts 2 Boston visited  Montrose to recognize Kendra and Natalia’s efforts.

Earlier in the year, the two girls were awarded the Community Service Award from the Parents’ Independent School Network, Inc. (PIN). "You have shown compassion, courage, and enthusiasm responding to the needs of others," said Karin Patel, PIN Community Service Chair. "Your project shows the world how to create community through caring in action. We are honored to support and celebrate your dedicated service."
