Mavs Win IGC Championship

Varsity basketball wins the Independent Girls League and their first-ever home NEPSAC game.
With a 49-41 victory over Christian Heritage School from Trumbull, CT, the team, seeded fourth in the NEPSAC, advanced to the NEPSAC semi-final game on Saturday - a first for the Mavericks.

The team stormed through the regular season with a 16-1 record. After defeating Brimmer & May in the IGC semi-final, they beat Covenant Christian Academy in the finals before a cheering crowd in the Arts & Athletics Center to win the league.

"This is the first time we have won the championship since 2015, which is very exciting," said Athletic Director Julie Ruggieri. "The energy in the A&A was incredible."

The Mavericks finallys fell to Vermont Academy in the NEPSAC semi-final to close an outstanding season.
